New Swedish Delivery Partner for FMFB

Kaplan Financial Rolls Out the FMFB Course

Kaplan clients and students can buy each of these courses for the special discounted price of £75 plus VAT for each of the parts. This includes access to elearning resources for 6 months, plus a copy of the book to accompany the series Financial Management for Business: Cracking the Hidden Code by Robert Bittlestone (published by Cambridge University Press).

An Online Assessment certified by CIMA is also available at an additional cost of £25 + VAT per part, or £40 + VAT for a combined assessment but is not included in the course itself and is an optional extra purchase.

Metapraxis secure top tier higher learning partners to further the development and delivery of the Financial Management for Business Course.

Sussex University wins the CIMA Global Business Flight Simulator Tournament in Kuala Lumpur

"Chameleon Consulting", the successful team made up of four Sussex University students, saw off competition from thirteen other countries around the world to pay the highest dividend to their shareholders during the one year trading simulation.

Jonathan Gaiger, Lee Edwards, Claire Harrison and Matthew Mammana, guided by their tutor David Green, outmanoeuvred international competition from Australia, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Ireland, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, in a challenge that showed the global applicability of the FMFB simulation models. The teams raised capital to create a retail operation, buying in stock, employing sales people, setting their product margin and investing in machinery. The businesses then competed in a simulated market place, which saw several bankruptcies before Sussex University emerged to victorious, employing just-in-time stock control to ensure they had the cash to turn undistributed profits into shareholder dividend.

Financial Management for Business to be published by Cambridge University Press

The book that will accompany the online business finance course, Financial Management for Business: Cracking the Hidden Code will be published by Cambridge University Press in September 2010.

Cambridge University Press (CUP) today become the latest in a series of high profile partners to become involved in the Financial Management for Business project. Joining the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Chartered Institute for IT (BCS), CUP will help develop and publish the text that will accompany the online models and tests, completing the course package for the end user. The book will come with a free trial of the web-based models for an initial period and will be available to purchase from 07 October 2010, directly from CUP, Metapraxis or Amazon. Commenting on CUP's decision to become involved, Robert Bittlestone, Chairman of Metapraxis Ltd and author of Financial Management for Business: Cracking the Hidden Code said:

A Leading Technology Company Signs Up to the New FMFB Course

Global flash memory chipmaker Numonyx BV today becomes the first major industrial corporation to sign up for the new CIMA certified FMFB course. Numonyx set out to find a business finance course that would provide their managers with a more intuitive understanding of business and felt that the FMFB fast-track financial qualification will provide exactly that.

Glen Hawk, VP of the Numonyx Embedded Business Group in California comments:
